I can’t believe I’m saying this… but I started a blog. ME?! Starting a blog?! Honestly, the human experience is wild, and I never imagined life would take me here—but I’m ready to share, to connect, and to bring you along for the ride.

As some of you may know, in May 2025, at the age of 31, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer.
STAGE 4 CANCER.
Me? Really?

We always hear about terrible things happening to other people. But when it happens to you, it feels like the floor falls out.
That said… I don’t spend much time asking “Why me?”—because honestly, that question hurts, and for me, it’s not helpful. I’ve chosen to shift my energy elsewhere.

Why I'm Here

I started posting on social media simply to make it easier to update my friends and family. I’m lucky to have a huge support network—but keeping everyone in the loop via calls and texts was just too much.

I never expected the outpouring of love from people I didn’t even know. The cancer community I’ve connected with—especially the incredible women I’ve met—has been one of the most unexpected gifts in all of this. I feel so humbled, grateful, and proud to be part of it.

That’s why I started this blog. It began as a way to share my journey—but it’s grown into so much more:
💖 A space to tell my story
✨ A place to share recipes, humor, hope, and honest thoughts
🌱 A way to remind others (and myself) that we are not alone

If I can inspire even one person to do a self-exam, make a doctor’s appointment, advocate for themselves, or simply prioritize their own wellbeing—then this will all have meaning.

Cancer Update

Today I finished my final dose of this cycle of Kisqali (21 days on, 7 days off).
Coming up:

• Next labs – August 12

• EKG – August 29

• PET scan – September 15

Don’t worry—I’ll be bringing you along for all of it.
